My grandaughter, Allie is nearly two. A precocious and beautiful little thing with sandy blond hair and a smile that lights up a room.
I am doing the Avon 3-Day for my mother, daughters, family and friends. One of these wonderful women may encounter breast cancer in her lifetime.One of them may have to live through a devastating experience which will change their lives forever.
But my hope and my belief is that there is a possibility of my granddaughter not facing the fear of contracting this disease. It would be such a wonderful thing to erradicate it from the lives of tiny children who will one day be women themselves. I walk also for the friends and family who have lived through the diagnosis. With the strongest desire that they never need fear it again.
